Musharraf Vs. Kakakhel

The links below are a very interesting debate between Gen. Musharraf and a madrassa student Syed Adnan Kakakhel. The videos give an interesting insight into the minds of both the emotive madrassa student and the military dictator. While Kakakhel has great command over Urdu rhetoric, if you listen closely, his arguments are rather hollow. This is an identifying characteristic of the Pakistani far-right.
The second link offers an interesting insight into the mind of a military dictator. Understandably Gen. Shaib uses the “enlightened moderation” card to hang on to his khaki underpants. It is rather typical for a dictator to grab on to the prevailing zeitgeist and claim it as his own.

How do you say Kakakhel's arguments were hollow? Its been more than 4 years now this debate happened, and now every one in Pakistan atleast agrees to the fact that he was the first person on Pakistan's earth who challenged that dictator. And it was right after his speech was released that even politicians got courage to repeat the same. And the final blow was by CJ , Iftikhar chowdry.
