Open Office

Found this wonderful alternative to microsoft office, called Open Office. Not only is it simply better in MS Office in many ways, its free and hence is a great alternative to the priated MS Office CDs that you find all over Pakistan. It has a bunch of functions that MS Office does not have. Besides microsoft really does suck, there is no denying that it writes extremely clumsy programs that tend to crash atleast twice a week.

Maybe I'll even build up the guts to swtich to Linux until I can afford a Mac.

Macs have gone down in price and are simply a better option than windows based PCs. I've even convinced my dad to get one.
